CONTEMPORARY and Hip-Hop
Charles Roy is a professional modern, jazz, and hip-hop dancer who is touring as a teacher with Showstopper Conventions and a judge for Showstopper Competitions. He has toured in California and in China as a teacher and dancer for ZiRu. When he is not on tour he resides in Los Angeles where he performs, teaches, and choreographs. Charles has a degree in Dance from Loyola Marymount University and was named the 2012 outstanding college performer nationally for the American College Dance Festival and was the 2010 recipient of another ACDF National award. He has choreographed and performed for Carnival, done back up dancing for Rihanna, and has taught workshops throughout Texas and in California. An Avant Dance alumnus, Charles returns to coach and teach the next generation of Corpus Christi dancers between tours.
Arielle Elonys Coker is a professional dancer currently living in Los Angeles. As a teacher and judge for Showstopper National Conventions and Competitions, she tours all over the United States and is in constant demand for workshops and choreography. She has choreographed for or been featured in music videos by Jon Bellion, Kill the Noise, and 3OH!3 in 2016. In April of 2015 a short film she starred in, "Where We Begin" premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. She has been seen on "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Nashville", has a BA in Dance from Loyola Marymount University, and is an Avant Dance alumna. Her classes are inspirational as she teaches from the heart and honestly cares about the young dancers she trains.
Jake Kodish started training Hip-Hop and Contemporary dance at age 12, in his hometown of Miami, FL. By age 15, he was working alongside other urban dancers in a non-profit street driven studio. He has trained in all forms of dance from Ballet, to Lindy Hop, to House, but has become known for his signature Popping, and Contemporary Hip-Hop.
At 16, Jake performed in the finals on America's Got Talent, and by 18, he was studying in LA, and working nonstop as a dancer.
He danced in the film Step Up 4, and countless music videos, including Prince's Breakfast Can Wait. He was in the dance ensemble for Disney's Shake It Up, and Austin and Ally. His national TV commercials include Microsoft, Samsung, and Behr's Paint.
Jake's live performances include Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour 2015; Prince on Arsenio Hall; Prime Time Emmy Awards , Taylor Swift's Blank Space - American Music Awards; and Justin Beiber and Will.i.am on the Billboard Awards.
Jake has shared the stage with Jason Derulo, Mary J. Blige, Selena Gomez, Ricky Martin, Pit Bull, Tovlo, 5th Harmony, The Weekend, Nick Jonas, and countless other artists.
Jake toured with Julianne and Derek Hough on the Move Live Tour as a principal dancer. Though a choreographer himself, Jake has worked with the best including Kyle Christopher Scott, Dave Scott , TyceDiorio , Wildabeast , Tricia Miranda , and more. He has assisted NappyTabs, Wildabeast, Phillip Chbeeb and Twitch on So You Think You Can Dance.
